I took the xmas tree down yesterday. A little sad, ritualistic. A beautiful tree to the end. Today ice and even snowfall. A surprise in this southwestern oasis. At first my son incredulous at all the school and business closings, "for the threat of this little ice?!!" A true northeasterner, he. But today he's bundled up and off sledding. The weather alarm charming of sorts. Amusing for a transplant. But still lovely to have the world shut down (save the internet of course...).
